So a couple of times this week I have worked on projects or recipes that I have seen on Pinterest. Here are the results:
Chocolate Chip Cookies
These cookies were purported to be the fluffiest, chewiest, BEST ever. I have had them pinned for a while now but it wasn't until Sunday that we actually made them. A friend brought them over as a thank you to Chance for helping them move. When we fell in love and asked for their secret family recipe, she replied, "Pinterest." I've been sick all weekend so Chance did the work on these.
They truly are the best cookies I have ever had. EVER! I can't wait until Chance makes them again!
Stain Remover
This was supposed to be the magic cure for yellow pit stains and it is supposed to be the "only stain remover you'll ever need." FAIL!!!
Since it didn't work I'll spare you the pictures of our pit-stained shirts. I did everything it said. I tried it on three different shirts.
Napoleons
You guys saw that I already blogged about these but they were, technically, part of the Pinterest experiment.

Dessert!
Oh my gosh you guys. I just made an amazing dessert. I didn't take any pictures because I was just trying something I saw on Pinterest.
I saw this Sticky Bun recipe on All Thing Delicious. I borrowed one of her pictures to show you the awesomeness. It was one of the easiest recipes I have ever made.You'll have to go to her website for the recipe though! Let me know if you try it!!

I've been Pinspired
I saw this fun DIY menu board on Pinterest. It is from A Creative Momma.
She gives great, step-by-step instructions on how to create this for yourself. I was set on making one when I stumbled upon these on clearance ($4.00) at Target. Seriously, it might be the happiest place on Earth!
At any rate, I was able to buy a dry erase calendar and blank note board. They are both adhesive but re-positionable. The set also came with a marker and holder.
I couldn't decide which picture was less crappy. So you get with and without flash. :)
So thanks Creative Momma for opening my eyes even though I didn't use your tutorial.

Summer Time!
Yes indeed. I got out the blocks again. I don't regret it one bit!
TMJ pinned this:
From A Diamond in the Stuff. It made me feel inspired again. I had literally gone to AC Moore (a craft store) and capitalized on a sale just a few days prior to this pin. I just happened to have purchased some cute, summery scrapbook paper. So when I saw this all I had to do was cut the paper and the letters. I only have 4 Cricut Cartridges so you'll start to recognize my font choices. This particular font was also used for Valentine's Day.
I grabbed these two buckets that I picked up at Target around Easter for $2 each. (I hate lining up so many prepositional phrases. It throws off my groove!)*
Anywho. I gave our beloved lowboy a summer flair. I attacked the top of the entertainment center too but that will have to wait for another post!
*Because I am still a teacher at heart I will clarify the prepositional phrases.

Two posts in one day? Wha?
That's right.
Krystal from Sassy Sanctuary has been at it again. She added a new social media icon to my blog. You knew it had to happen eventually right?
Introducing...My Pinterest button.
Isn't she pretty?
So join in the Pin Party and follow me on Pinterest. I'd love to know who else is out there pinning away!
Thanks Krystal!

Guest Posting and Pinterest
In case you missed my VERY exciting news: I was featured as a guest poster on Thrifty Decorating. Nikki is a Super Mom who homeschools her kids, does all kinds of awesome crafts and creative decorating around the house, AND finds time to blog about it! I was honored that she asked me to share with her readers. Below is a copy of my post. Please check out Thrifty Decorating; I promise you'll be inspired!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Do you ever see something online that you want to remember later? Nikki posts craft projects constantly that I want to copy! So I email myself links all the time. I actually had a whole folder in my email dedicated to links I had sent myself. It was out of hand!
Luck was on my side, however, when I was introduced to Pinterest.
Pinterest (a combination of the words Pin and Interest) is a website where you can create virtual pin boards for all the links you want to save for yourself. I have a board dedicated to crafts I want to try. I have another board for fashion that I love.
Here is a screen shot of my Pin Boards.
Once you sign up you’ll get a button on your browser to allow you to Pin items without going to the actual Pinterest website. You’ll also find that it is a social site. It connects you with some of your friends who are using Pinterest. You can “follow” people and see the things they pin as well.
I’d like to warn you of a couple surprises.
1.When you sign up it will ask you to grant access to your Facebook. I HATED this idea. I have eliminated virtually every item on Facebook that wants to access my information. I was so intrigued by this website, however, that I gave in. It is this step that connects you with your friends that are already Pinning. You can also go into your account and disable the access to Facebook after your account it created.
2.This website is still in beta mode; so you have to request an invite or receive an invite from a current user.
